This support concerns the functioning of the National Pesticides Management Committees (NPMC) by the development and training on the WAPMIS data base with the view to improve the inspection and control of pesticides towards taking into account the results of inspection and control of pesticides by other structures involved in pesticides management after putting in place their networks.
The overall objective of these national workshops is to improve the pesticides’ inspection, control and management at the countries’ level through the enhancement of the organization and functioning of the National Pesticides Management Committee (NPMC).
The specific objective of these training is to train the representatives of the NPMC of the different countries involved in pesticides management, on how to use the West African Pesticides Management Integrated System (WAPMIS) the different modules with a focus on the NPMC module;
Introduce the representatives of NPMC of the different countries to the utilization of the NPMC and Public Module of the WAPMIS; to provide the representatives of the different countries with the rules on the use of the NPMC module (entry and validation of data, country data to share with the public): and collect from the various national authorities their specific needs for the improvement (adaptation) of the NMPC’s portal.
